Neil Gaiman Day @TowneBookCenter

ByPam

Ok It’s not REALLY Neil Gaiman Day but I can pretend non? We are, however, reading the lovely The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Himself.

The Ocen at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

I have a love/hate relationship with Gaiman. I love that he’s so ding dang creative, but GAWD his books are CREEPY. I mean. Coraline?

Other Mother creeps me the heck out.

Of course Himself is famous for creepy adult books too like American Gods.

I prolly won’t read it but I wish I could. I’m a chicken and I don’t like to be scared or creeped out.

Did you know that Himself writes for teeny weeny littles?

Chu's Day at the Beach by Neil Gaiman and Adam Rex

Chu’s Day at the Beach! Not scary at all. And of course, there’s Fortunately, The Milk which prompted a great Twitter meme where you’d mix the title with another book like Fortunately, The Mockingjay (ok that’s a bad one but you get the idea).

Also? I had the fun opportunity to see Himself at The Tower Theater in May. Here’s a pic of my bookseller friend Jen and me:

Eight rows back and that’s the best my iPhone could do.

Blerg.

So, tell me, what’s your fave Neil Gaiman book?
