So here’s what I thought was ironic. Last week I planned to read the delightful Everyone Poops to my kids. I read it and they were enraptured by the poop talk, especially my two potty mouths. But the funny thing was, they kept denying that some animals poop.
Like they’re experts!
The book says “birds poop”
my kids laughed and said “birds don’t poop!”
The book says “bugs poop”
my kids laughed even harder and said “bugs don’t poop”!
I kept insisting that, indeed, birds and bugs do poop, but how was I gonna prove it to them? where was i gonna find bird and bug poop? that would have make a great science experiment, but ick, bird poop?
