I meet with a group of tweens (my tweenies) every month for a bookclub. This year I let the kids decide what books they wanted to read. It’s been an interesting assortment of middle grade literature that I am proud to have in my repertoire. This month we discussed The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer, the boy from Glee.
I’d received an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book two years ago at BEA and I somehow never got around to it. I was happy to get a chance to read it with my Tweenies. It’s a fun read if you like fairy tales. Colfer weaves a tale about a set of brother and sister twins who find themselves in an alternate universe! A universe of Fairy Tales.
It’s a clever ride through the magic kingdoms of your favorite fairytales. I can’t wait to read the second book!
