Hotlight Spotlight: Sarah J Maas Crown of Midnight

Crown of Midnight

While at BEA this summer I had the chance to meet  Sarah J Maas of the Throne of Glass series! The latest installment of the series is Crown of Midnight.  Here’s what they’re saying about it:

After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king’s contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.

Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king’s bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she’s given a task that could jeopardize everything she’s come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon — forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.

Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?

Whoa, sounds pretty good, right?  A year in the salt mines? No THANKS.

Have you read it? Tell me about it!

p.s. isn’t she ADORBS? I was threatening to tell my kids that she was Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) but Sarah said they wouldnt buy it.  She does kinda favor Katniss, right?

Quick #BEA13 Recap: Sarah J. Maas

Sarah Maas

So, you might have heard of Sarah J. Maas.  She’s written a lot of books in the Throne of Glass series.  If you want epic YA fantasy, she’s the one.  I might have mentioned that she looks like Katniss and she said she’s heard that before. I tried to tell my kids I met Katniss but they didn’t buy it.  There were very impressed that I met Sarah, though.
