Jumpstart Read for the Record #ReadfortheRecord

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record®, presented in partnership with the Pearson Foundation, is one day of the year when millions of individuals come together to celebrate literacy and support Jumpstart in its efforts to promote early childhood education. On October 3, 2013, millions of adults and children across the country will read Otis by Loren Long, in support of Jumpstart’s mission to work towards the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. Join Jumpstart’s Read for the Record and put children first! Click here for more information.

I made a video today to join the party and kids succeed in school.  I hope you enjoy!

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record

I was fortunate enough to join in to help Jumpstart attempt to set a world record for reading Llama Llama Red Pajama.

When I arrived at work, they were already passing around the school’s copy of Llama Llama Red Pajama to be read.

Later, I got out my copy and read it to the whole group.

And guess what two things happened? #1 i had the wrong version. i had Llama Llama home with mama AND #2 i didnt like the way my hair looked so I staged the whole setting again the next day after i went to the hair dresser.  it also happened to be Phillies t shirt day.

So…here I am reading Llama Llama home with Mama.

My littles loved it and it is been requested over and over!
