Blogging from A to Z Challenge Books Young Adult

P #atozchallenge

P is for so many things!! It’s the best letter, right?

It’s for Pam (me!), it’s for peanut butter (my fave spread), and it’s for Prodigy.

Prodigy Unconventional Librarian

Oh YEAH you know Prodigy, by Marie Lu!

And P is also for Peperoni Palm Tree by Aiden Patrick Meath and Jason Killian Meath.

Pepperoni palm tree

Far away on the pink sand beach at the edge of a wild jungle grew a Pepperoni Palm Tree.

Plump, juicy, red pepperoni dangled from its branches.

And the tree was tall and proud.

Doesn’t that sound like a great story?

Yep, it sure is!

Did I mention the author is NINE YEARS OLD??

Yep, he sure is!

Ok so this isn’t a YA book but how can you resist a child author?

You can’t. Check this great book out, you won’t be disappointed!

And guess what? Pepperoni and pizza also start with P!!

Books Young Adult

L #atozchallenge and John Green is my Boyfriend

It’s L day!

There comes a time when life spins really quickly like the spinning tea cups at Disney World and your puke when you get off the ride.

This is not one of those times.

This is, though, one of those times when you have a really great book that doesn’t fit into your genre but you use it anyway.

Unconventional Librarian Legen

The book I’m referring to is The Last Dogs: the Vanishing by Christopher Holt.  As you know, I’m a sucker for anything that has a dog in it.  So this title is for tweens/middle grade but who can resist a book cover with three cute furry friends on the front? Not I. Plus it starts with the letter L.  Win!

Next up is Legend by Marie Lu!  I feel as if I’m the only YA book lover on the planet who hasnt read this book!  It’s been on my radar forever and I was thrilled to return from BEA with it. Why havent I read it yet???

Is there anyone who needs a synopsis of the story? Dystopian USA; girl groomed for military excellence; guy is criminal; avenging a death; race for survival; sinister secrets,  wooo hooooooo!!

Have you read it?? Tell me!!!

And I can’t believe I forgot to tell you the most important news of all: JOHN GREEN IS MY BOYFRIEND!

No, seriously.  I met him last year at Book Expo America and he totally swooned all over me.

Look, here’s a pic:

See? totally digs me.
