Blogging from A to Z Challenge

Blogging from A to Z Challenge: Wanna be on My Team?

Calling all Wordsmiths, Party Animals, Bloggers, Readers, Droids, Orcs, Pirates, etc.

I’m looking for members to join an Unconventional Alliance for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge!

A2Z-BADGE [2016]

Why an Unconventional Alliance? I love The Hunger Games and think its very important to have a team of trained assassins friends to accomplish a task.
This task? Surviving the 2016 Blogging from A to Z April Challenge!

Just like Katniss couldn’t survive the Quarter Quell without her team, each co host needs a team to help get the job done. Being part of the Co Host Team is fun but there is work involved.  This position is for you if:

  • You’re organized
  • You’ve always wanted to help with the A to Z Challenge
  • You have the time to commit to being busy in March and very busy in April
  • You live for the inside scoop
  • You’re reliable
  • You answer emails/tweets quickly
  • You like to have fun (sense of humor is KEY)
  • You’re a team player
  • You can take initiative
  • You’re reliable (did I mention that already?)
  • You don’t mind a bit of hard work (no breaking bricks or anything but there will be much typing)

If you can answer yes to most of these qualifications, then we want you on our team! The only weapons required are your device, or your laptop or your computer or wherever you access the internet. Cool bow and arrow not necessary, although will be highly praised.

If you’ve got what it takes to be part of my Unconventional Alliance, tweet  me: @pamlovesbooks or email me: [email protected]

Thank you for considering joining my team!

5 Reasons Why You Should Attend the #AZchat on Thursdays

5 Reasons Why You Should Attend the #AZchat on Thursdays

Every Thursday during the month of March, many wonderful people are getting together during an #AZChat to discuss the #atozchallenge that’s coming up in April. (wooo APRIL!!!!)

That’s my Blogging form A to Z Challenge badge. I’m a co host. I formed an Unconventional Alliance, kinda like Katniss in Hunger Games, but with more cake. And fewer baboons.

The Blogging from A to Z Challenge is like a giant party of a  blog hop and since you know I love parties I was thrilled to discover there were other parties happening on Twitter. During the Twitter chats, we discuss the ins and outs, the whos and whys of the challenge. If you’ve not participated, here are FIVE REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE TWITTER CHATS.

  1. They are offered at two different times, 1pm and 8pm Eastern, to accommodate everyone’s schedule.
  2. The chats are a quick way to get your questions answered.
  3. You’ll make new friends and quickly!
  4. There’s always at least one Co Host on hand.
  5. Everyone is FRIENDLY

So, if you’re on the fence about doing the A to Z Challenge or have questions as to if you’re doing it correctly, or you want to get to know more people or you have nothing else to do at these times, DROP IN!

Forgot to sign up for the challenge? There’s still time! Here’s the link

APRIL-CALENDAR [2014] - updated

Love this graphic? Click the image and it will take you to the site and you can download your own and make it your desktop image!

So, you have your schedule, now what? Do as much prep work as possible BEFORE the challenge begins:

  • preload all your titles for the month with #atozchallenge somewhere in it
  • choose your theme, if you’re having one
  • download/upload the alphabets for the appropriate blog posts
  • try to write 3-5 blog posts prior to  April 1 (that way you’ll have more time to have fun & visit other blogs)
  • when you DO sit down to write blog posts, try to write at least a day or two ahead, in case of emergencies (cuz they will come up)
  • keep your posts short
  •  find a rhythm that works for you
  • read the A to Z blog for tips
  • reach out for help (Tweet me: @Pamlovesbooks)

Blogging from A to Z Challenge

I’m Blogging #AtoZChallenge

I’m so excited to be part of the Blogging from AtoZ Challenge team this year! Last year was my first time participating in the challenge and I had a blast. This year, in anticipation of even more fun, I begged asked to be part of the team, you know, purely to amp up my fun, share the love. And they chose me: they like me, they really like me!!

As you can see from the photobomb button, I’m part of Team Damyanti.  As part of this team to take over the world help make AtoZ Challenge great, I get to assist our leaders in making sure the event runs smoothly and that everyone has fun.  Kinda like a party hostess, without having to worry about where to hang up all the coats.

Last year I challenged myself to only blog about children’s books; which included preschool, middle grade and young adult.  I did it! This year, I may challenge myself similarly.  More to come on that later as I panic think about it more.

To get in on the action, sign up for the challenge on the blog. Follow the party on Twitter, hashtag #atozchallenge.  I’m @Pamlovesbooks in case you’re new around here. Check out the other minions team members too:

The coolest thing about this team? We’re from all over the globe: South Africa, Philly (me), New York, the UK, and Singapore.  How FUN is that?? Now how can I get them to send me some food…?

Please go visit my newest besties and tell them I said SEND COOKIES.
