#AtoZChallenge – U Unlovely

ByPam

I don’t know about you, but as we enter the homestretch of the A to Z Challenge I’m tired, grouchy, and wanna quit.

But are we quitters?

NO!!

We can do this! Just a few more letters!

Today’s letter is U.

My book?

Unlovely by Celeste Conway

Unlovely by Celeste Conway

I chose this book for reasons.  Here’s the blurb:

Accidents happen. But they happen more often when the beautiful ballet dancers return each summer to the island. When he hears the ruthless way that the loveliest dancer talks about boys getting what they deserve when they break girls’ hearts, Harley, home for the summer after his first year of college, wonders if he’s losing his mind. He knows for sure that he’s losing his heart to this girl…But then, strange incidents start happening all over the island and Harley is caught between desire and fear: could he also be in danger of losing his life?

I chose this book because well, ballerinas arent multicultural in and of themselves, but they are kind of set apart from people.

Oh HECK who am I kidding?

I chose the book because of the tutu and the toe shoes. And the blurb kind of reminds me of that dark movie about that other ballerina. This is SO going on my Summer Reading List. Just what I need for the beach! This is Young Adult, btw. Think Mean Girls in tutus.

Scary ballerinas?

Bring it.

I bet they stomp people to death during the Nutcracker!

Although I happen to know for a fact that they do TALK to each other during performances.
