It’s K day!! woooot!!!
I only have one book for you today; but I think it’s a good one. It’s called Kill Order by James Dashner
I’m sure you know as well as I do, that YA books are great for series. We all want to get into a book and know that we get to see our beloved friends again and again. What confuses me, however is the whole prequel, sequel, sub series thing. But I still get confused by what day it is. The Kill Order, by James Dashner, is mart of the Maze Runner series. Goodreads says this:
Before WICKED was formed, before the Glade was built, before Thomas entered the Maze, sun flares hit the earth and mankind fell to disease.
Mark and Trina were there when it happened, and they survived. But surviving the sun flares was easy compared to what came next. Now a disease of rage and lunacy races across the eastern United States, and there’s something suspicious about its origin. Worse yet, it’s mutating, and all evidence suggests that it will bring humanity to its knees.
I don’t know about you but it sounds pretty good, right? To be sure, reviews were kind of mixed but can I tell you that I sell the heck outta this book at work? This series appeals to both teen boys and girls, which is difficult to do. So, while adults may be all “this prequel didn’t do enough for me” obviously teens think something else. And ultimately? Isn’t this who the series is for?
So, once I figure out how the series, prequel and sequel thing works, I’m so adding this series to my list!
What about you? Got any books for K?
