Banned Books Week-Day 3

This title is a new one to me:

6.   Saga, by Brian Vaughan and Fiona Staples

Saga, by Brian Vaughan and Fiona Staples

So I don’t know anything about this book. Looking at the cover, I love the nursing mother image,
showing that families are important in this story. I also love that this is a graphic novel. I think this e-book might be for mature or older teens. Here are the reasons it was challenged: Anti-Family, nudity, offensive language, sexually explicit, and unsuited for age group. You’ll hafta investigate this on your own to see what the deal is. I, however, am putting this on my TBR list.

Have you read this?

I’m a big fan of Saga! It’s a great series with excellent writing and character building. I can’t see how it’s anti-family at all – it’s all about a family trying to stay together! Unsuited for age group? Well, I wouldn’t recommend it to my elementary age patrons, but teens? Absolutely.

Thanks so much for your comment. Im totally gonna check this one out. We need more graphic novels!
