2015 Diversity Reading Challenge Blogging from A to Z Challenge Books Diversity

Blogging from #AtoZChallenge- H Hot Hot Roti!

I’m so excited to share H day with you today!

There are lots of books that start with the letter H.

And I’m sure they’re fine books.

But since I love food, I wanted this book to be about food.

And what better way to talk about food than with a picture book, right?

Hot, Hot Roti for Dada-ji by J. Zia

Hot Hot Roti for Dada-Ji is the perfect book to explain life in a house where grandparents come to visit from India.

You’ll learn how to prepare yummy Roti

and you might learn a thing or two about Indian culture.

Do you have a book with a fave food recipe? Tell me so I can love it too.

I love the Indian curry dishes with rice. They are delicious, and I love eating hot food.

Being a non resident Indian with a 6 year old son, I would have loved to gift this book to him. He loves Roti but prefers to say it Indian bread!!

The BOY found a book in the school library with all the food described in Dr. Seuss books made into actual recipes! We copied a few to try this summer. It was really cute.
