So even though I’ve been dreadfully busy with the new job, I’ve still managed to eek out some time to read for pleasure. During the past 2 months, I have read the following books:
A long way down by Nick Hornby. I’ve enjoyed his previous books but I had a hard time finishing this one. Not sure why.
The Dressmaker of Khair Khana by Gayle Lemmon. I’m pretty sure I blogged about this, it was a SITS book club pick.
Standing Still by Kelly Simmons. This was my local bookstore pick. I finished the book, kinda liked it but couldn’t get to the bookstore for the book group discussion, which is a darn shame cuz the author was going to present.
I’ve just recently started reading Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. It’s not my usual genre, but I was intrigued by the premise so I thought I’d check it out.
What are you reading for pleasure?

Well, I’ve got a few books I am reading/need to read for reviews (but I picked out for pleasure). This would include Area 51, Abandon, and The Summer We Came to Life. I love to read and I enjoy seeing your picks. 😀
hmmm they sound interesting lindsay. looking to hear your reviews.
I have a stack of “Me” books waiting for me to find time for them. Most of them are by Karen Kingsbury.
yeah finding time is very hard. i hope you “find” the time!
I’ll be honest — I’m a Stephen King fan.
lisa dear, there is no shame in stephen king. i used to love him!
I just finished Tina Fey’s Bossypants. I’m thinking about starting the Kingdom Keepers series since I love Disney. Need to get book 1 from the library though.
Right now I’m reading Here, Home, Hope for a book review and I’m really enjoying it.
My current book is The Preacher’s Daughter by Beverly Lewis.
